Description:

This earthenware Low toy sugar with lid was printed in blue underglaze in the Girl at the Well pattern.   The shape is recorded in the 1820 Shape Book on page 27 (see link below).  Its companion teapot is also included in the exhibit.  Click on the image below to enlarge another view of the sugar with its lid.
