Description:

This pattern is number 3959 and is seen here on an octagonal Feldspar Porcelain dessert plate.  It is printed in black and enameled overglaze in green, red and blue with gilt decoration on the rim.  It depicts two five-clawed dragons chasing the red flaming Pearl of Potentiality.  Variations of the use of color are known.  The pattern is known on coffee and tea wares.
