Indian Sporting Pattern Source

All of the patterns, as well as the border elements, in Spode's Indian Sporting series were derived from aquatints in Oriental Field Sports  (subtitled Wild Sports of the East). The first edition of this book, written by Capt. Thomas Williamson and illustrated by Samuel Howitt, was published in London in 1807 by Edward Orme.
