Description:

Exhibited here is an earthenware covered pot, or ointment pot, printed in blue underglaze in the Broseley, Reversed pattern.  This is Spode's shape 335 and can be found on page 28 in the 1820 Shape Book (a link is provided below).  Shown below is the top of the lid.  Click to enlarge it.
