Description:

Transfer-printed in the Net pattern this butter dish consists of an oval shaped container with lid intended to hold the butter.  This container is fixed to an extended upright sided stand with tapered cut-off ends.  It is believed that the stand was designed to hold ice and, perhaps, a knife to keep the butter cool during hot weather.   Click on the image below to enlarge another view of this item.
