Description:

This variation of the Mandarin pattern was produced with a dagger border.   It was printed in blue underglaze on a round bone china tea plate.  The plate has a gilded edge and was part of a tea set. 
This early pattern was derived from an original Chinese porcelain pattern known as “Two Birds.”
